One-liner: Storyflow is a browser-based creative-planning canvas — an infinite board of cards, story blueprints, and 200+ “tactic” templates, with an AI that reads your whole canvas and suggests the next step. It is a paid-first product: the free plan does not arrive until late 2026.

This is an official-information entry: we have not run a project through Storyflow’s board-and-tactics workflow, so there is no score. Every claim above comes from the company’s own pages or an attributed third-party source fetched on 2026-09-11.

The pitch: a board that moves the project, not just displays it

The positioning Storyflow repeats across its own blog is consistent: the problem with Milanote is that a board “never actually moves.” Storyflow’s answer is an AI that treats the whole canvas as one project — brief, references, notes, and a chosen story framework — and recommends what to do next. The pricing page’s own FAQ puts it plainly: “Unlike chat tools where you re-explain your project every session, the AI has access to everything on your canvas.” A third-party comparison (mindmapai.app, fetched 2026-09-11) repeats the same split of the category — Milanote as the calm visual board, Miro as team whiteboarding, Storyflow as the AI that pushes the idea forward on one canvas.

That framing is worth taking at face value: “the AI reads the whole board” is a product claim, not something we independently verified. We did not run a board through Storyflow’s AI, so treat the workflow claims as the company’s description.

What the pricing page actually says

Two numbers matter if you plan to use Storyflow this year:

  • There is no free plan. The FAQ is explicit: the free tier “launches before the end of 2026.” The one free path today is being invited to a board by a paid member — you can collaborate for free, but any paid features require a subscription.
  • The page only prints annual prices. Each plan is charged once a year — $95.88 for Plus, $168 for Pro, $468 for Max. The FAQ notes annual billing “saves 20% on Plus, 26% on Pro, and 20% on Max compared with paying month to month,” but it does not print the monthly figures. So any monthly price you see elsewhere is an estimate, not the company’s own number.

Who should use it

  • Creators who plan visually (film beats, content calendars, brand boards) and want AI that works from the whole canvas rather than chat prompts.
  • Small teams that want collaboration without paying per-seat: one paid member can invite others free, and team billing discounts start at three seats.
  • Not for now: anyone who needs a free plan today, a database-like structure, or a mobile app. It is aimed at people moving off Milanote, not at teams that need a live whiteboard.
